A charming pair of gilt-metal sconces underlain with delicate crisscrossing design reminiscent of script and possessing two symmetrical arms which extend from the fixtures' centers like smoke twisting gently from a flame. Dating from the middle of the 20th century, these pieces nevertheless evoke a more traditional notion of French decoration.
