This extraordinary light sculpture, one of a series of strikingly beautiful pieces in blue patina, marks yet another departure for the groundbreaking Irish artist and designer, furthering an aesthetic language inspired by the famed Broighter Hoard, and initiated with her large-scale commission for the National Bank of Ireland. For their part, these new works represent an elaboration on the geometry, palette, orientation, and scale of that first, monumental piece; and in their variety, stay true to Barry's initial inspiration.
