This unique vase by Swedish ceramist Claes Thell possesses the kind of rough beauty for which he is well-known the world-over among enthusiasts of Scandinavian ceramics.
Thell developed an enthusiasm for the medium at a young age and gained a mastery glazing from years spent working at the Höganäs Metallurgical Laboratory. Thereafter, he established his own ceramics workshop in Ödråka. He has exhibited throughout Europe and his work is held by the National Museum at Stockholm.
