Anne Dangar

Double-handled Ceramic Vase

France, circa 1940s

Medium: Glazed Ceramic

Dimensions: 14" high

Produced at the Moly-Sabata artists' collective, this two-handled ceramic jug takes cues from antiquity, paying homage to classical heritage in form and palette. The design may reflect the influence of Albert Gleizes, an important mentor to Dangar, and an artist who influenced her work tremendously.

Signed MSD [Moly-Sabata Dangar] at base.
