This small side table is the exact replica, in a much smaller size, of a larger and more common side table that Groult would often place in his interiors.
It is entirely covered in straw marquetry and has been expertly restored by Lison de Caunes, Groult’s grand-daughter. Lison, who works out of Paris, France, is internationally recognized as one of the best straw marquetry artisans worldwide.
