Patera is a hanging light fixture of two closely overlapping sinuous ellipses, one more vertical than the other, adjoined at a ninety degree angle at their base and by a smaller, third ellipse at their apex. The piece suggests a conversion of energy, a moment of action captured in time by bronze and light.
